History

Formation of WASBPA

The Western Australian School Business Professionals' Association Inc. (WASBPA) was formed in 2024 through the amalgamation of the two long-standing associations: the Western Australian Education Corporate Services Association (WAECSSA) and the Western Australian Manager Corporate Services in Education (WAMCSE). This amalgamation was driven by the shared vision of creating a unified and powerful voice to advocate for and support corporate services staff in Western Australian public schools.

Legacy of WAECSSA and WAMCSE

The Western Australian Education Corporate Services Association (WAECSSA) was founded with the mission to support and advocate for corporate services staff working in public schools. Over the years, WAECSSA continued to provide extensive professional development and support the recognition of corporate services roles. The association was known for its commitment to excellence and its efforts to enhance the status of corporate services professionals within the education system.

The Western Australian Manager Corporate Services in Education (WAMCSE) was established to represent the interests of managers overseeing corporate services functions in schools. WAMCSE played a crucial role in advocating for the needs of these professionals, offering targeted training and development programs, and facilitating valuable networking opportunities.

A New Era for Corporate Services Professionals

The amalgamation of WAECSSA and WAMCSE into WASBPA marks the beginning of a new era for corporate services professionals in Western Australian public schools. With a unified voice and a strategic focus on advocacy, professional development and community building, WASBPA is well-positioned to elevate the role of corporate services staff and ensure their contributions are recognised and valued. The association is committed to continuing the legacy of WAECSSA and WAMCSE by providing high-quality support, resources and opportunities for its members. WASBPA's formation represents a significant step forward in the journey to empower and elevate corporate services professionals, and the association looks forward to making a lasting impact on the education system.

Looking Ahead

As we move forward, WASBPA is dedicated to building on the achievements of WAECSSA and WAMCSE and driving positive change for corporate services staff. We are excited to embark on this journey with our members, providing them with the tools, knowledge and connections they need to succeed. Our focus remains on enhancing professional expertise, fostering a strong and supportive community, promoting innovation and advocating for the needs and interests of our members.
